Megan from Alwoodley primary school

This book was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really hope there is another because of the way it ends
I thought that there was so much tension building up in some chapters
My favourite character in this book has to be Spirit the dolphin
This book has also got to be one of the best books I have EVER read!!!!!!

Megan gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5.

Maddy from Bracken Edhe Primary School

This was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been the best book so far. The reason I liek it is because it is unexpecting, there are twists where you don't expet them, and where you think there is going to be a twist, there isn't. For people who haven't read it, there is a big shock when you read the last page, and you will end up skipping through the others to see if you have missed a bit. There is a bit at the beggining which is a bit gruesome, but that doesn't stop me from wanting the next book in Autumn! This book is so powerful, I never wanted to puit it down. I even cried, and felt worried in some parts, like when I thought Pirri was going to die(I think that is her name). The best book in the shortlist.

Maddy gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Juyin from Allerton c of e primary

This was the best book i had in all of them.

Juyin gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Sannah from Beeston Primary School

This book really isn't my cup of tea. It could potentially be my favourite book if it wasn't so detailed. Every book amazing in different ways but this book really doesn't stand out to me. Its more for a boy and is more an adventure story.
So thats why i rate Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5.

Sannah gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5.

Emily from Southroyd Primary

It was alright- it had a decent pace. I liked how it described spirit. I don't like how it turned Telamon against Hylas, I would probably read it again.

Emily gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Granny Grabbers' Whizz Bang World.

Lillie from St.Benedicts

Caitlin from Hollybush Primary School

Gods And Warriors is an absolutely fantastic book.I've rated it a 4 out of 5 stars because the author,Michelle Paver, could've added a little bit more humour.Overall i think it's a brilliant book with action after action.I think people from ages 10 and over should read it

Caitlin gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Gods and Warriors was an amazing book and i would love to read it again.Overall the best book from the ones we had to read from the leads book awards. I enjoyed nearly everything i read through the chapters and i would recomend any year 5 and 6 pupil read it.

chloe gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Sarah from Southroyd Primary School

I really enjoyed Gods and Warriors maily because on several different chapters they
changed persective, the author has described every charater in a massive amount of detail.I was mainly interested in when Hlyas and Pirra were stuck on the the island I would recomened this book for any one who likes a rather slow pace story but full of detail.

Sarah gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

Haleemah from Hollybush Primary School

I thought "Gods & Warriors" didn't start off very well but as it progressed it got much exciting! I really liked the dolphin(Spirit) because it was always jolly, even when it was scared. I would rate this book 4/5.

This book is not one of my favourites. It is a bit too descriptive.

Ciara gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Cameron from Hollybush Primary School

Gods & worriors I didn't like it that much because it was not as action packed as Hitler's Angel. But it was still good.

Cameron gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Jaime from Southroyd Primary and Nursery School

I think this book was amazing ! Even though some parts were a bit boring, it was still exciting. It was a real page-turner and I can't wait for Michelle Paver's next book ! I loved the adventure within the book and one of the things the book is that all Hylas can think about is getting his sister Issi back. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes adventure books>

Jaime gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

kieran from sharp lane middleton

I really enjoyed this book because of the suspence, there could of been a better story line but other than that one of my favroite books from leeds book awards. Also it had language that some people wouldn't understand but I understood all of it.I felt like this was my style of book because it was really dark.

kieran gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

isobel from Kippax Greenfield primary school

Gods and Warriors was a great book but some parts were boring. The best part was when they were stuck in the cave.I would recommend this book to people who like adventure story's.

isobel gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5.

Millie from southroyd

I did not like this book. I don't know why i just don't think its my sort of book. I usually pick up the story straight away but with this book i didn't. I wouldn't recommend this book because it is quite hard to understand.

Millie gave Gods and Warriors 1 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

Chantelle from Parklands Primary

the book was alright i would defiantly recommend this to people who love to read adventure books. It's about a girl who is called pirya who traveled around to get away from crows they save themselves let alone dolphins the author came up with some great ideas with this book maybe this book would inspire many more children or authors to write books like this

Chantelle gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5.

Jessica from Thorner C of E Primary School

I rated this book 3 out of 5 because I found it hard to read as it was set in anicient greece and the names were hard to pronunce also this kind of book isn't really my genre.Although I found it interesting that all the characters had different personalitys.

Jessica gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5.

Daniel from Victoria Primary School

WOW!!! What a story! I didn't expect this because when I first saw it, it looked boring but as they say, don't judge a book by it's cover. The storyline is amazing and very gruesome which I like! I can't wait for the next story by Michelle Paver.

Daniel gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

James from Victoria Primary School

Very good and descriptive and the book also creates a tension and atmosphere.

James gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Ellie gave Gods and Warriors 1 out of 5.

Lauren from Hunslet st Marys

I really liked the way the book was written and I piticularry think th auther note is very handy and smart, but when I first started to read the book the storyline wasnt what I exspected neverthelss it turned out to be a very interestin and unique book that I put all my attension into and fully enjoyed so without a thought I would recomend this book to a frind or family member of my age and I look forward to reading another Michell Paver book as I believe she did a great job on this one and I wish her good luck with any thurther ideas she has on a book.

Lauren gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5.

Millie from Hunslet st Mary's

I thought Gods and Wariors was a good book. At firstI thought that it was a bit boring but then it started to get better. I also thought that the language was a bit complicated and that made it a slow read, as well I thought there was too much description which made it quiet confusing and hard to follow. Overall I thought Gods and Warriors was a good book that was not like I expected and was full of magic and adventure.

Millie gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Laura from Hunslet St Marys

I didn't like this book much I thought it was a slow read and a bit boring. I thought that this book was going to be fast paced and thrilling but I was a little disappointed. My overall review is that I wouldn't read it again but i would reommend it to someone who likes adventure books.

Laura gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Felicity from Hunslet st Mary

I have found that gods and warriors was very different to other books . i liked how the story connected up at the end to make it make sense . I would defiantly read another book by Michelle Paver becaus i really like her style of wrighting because she can paint a picute with words .

Felicity gave Gods and Warriors 1 out of 5.

oakley from hunslet st marys

It is an overall good book with very good descripiton of characters and places I like i how its linked to a actual place that is mostly true.It is very good that it is the first of its seris. I can't wait to read the next book to see where Hylas and pirra will go next.

oakley gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Hannah from saint francis catholic primary school

I enjoyed this book since it was set in the Greek bronze age.The protagonist,Hylas, has lost his 4 year old sister and is on a adventure to save her.Along the way, he meets a young dolphin called spirit, who leads him to his dead younger sister. He also meets pirra,a emperesses daughter who helps him on the way. I think that any tomboy/boy will enjoy this book as it has a breathtaking story of war. Michelle paver has done an astounding job with this book, and she should do an entire series of this book and i hope that i can read this book again.I would reccomend that if you are aged between 10 and 13,you will enjoy this book.

Hannah gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Granny Grabbers' Whizz Bang World.

gideon from st.Francis of Assisi

I like the way the auther described other peoples story of the book for example he discribes what hylas is feeling at the same time with talemon.

gideon gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5.

Jack from St Pauls Catholic Primary School

Some people may think it boring because of the description but I think the description makes the story better. One of the best storys I've read!!!!!

Jack gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Iqra from Harehills Primary School

The story was interesting and sometimes a bit spooky.

Iqra gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Kira from Pool CE Primary ( Pool Page Turners )

I found the plot very predictable but I did like the use of the dolphin and how hard it was to survive at that time. The description about the bronze age was amazing and I felt I was really there.Bu the relationship between the main characters Pirra and Hylas wasn't as convincing and I felt I wanted more to keep me interested.
i would give it a 3/5

Kira gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Elliot from St. Nicholas RC Primary school

I didn't like GODS AND WARRIORS as much as the others because it was hard to pronounce the words that you have made up for this book, because of this you had to keep on stopping while you were reading.
Some readers may like this book but my personal thoughts are that the book didn't flow easily and maybe it should be for older children.
I didn't understand the storyline and what the characters were.
I found the cover too dark and scary. It would be more informative if you had written a blurb for the book, this would have helped me to understand more about the story.

it was confusing weather he was in the past or present, maybe of the past were in a different font eg italics so the reader would understand if the character was in the past or in the present.

Elliot gave Gods and Warriors 1 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

Niamh from St. Paul's catholic primary school

I rated this book two out of five because It didn't have any main story line. I didnt really like it. No offence to the author. It wasn't what I expected, as I expected an adventure. There was too much description for me, but sometimes that's good!

Niamh gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

Rhianna from Adel St. Johns

Even though to start with I didn't really enjoy this book, I kept on reading and it turned out to be AMAZING!!!!! Michelle Paver is a great author and I'm thinking of reading her other books!!

Rhianna gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

Elizabeth from St. Benedicts

Michelle Paver created an action filled book but unfortunately it wasn't the type of book that I enjoy. I'm like toffee as I like getting stuck in a book but I wasn't stuck . I couldn't even finish reading it .

Elizabeth gave Gods and Warriors 1 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Sophie from Horsforth Featherbank Primary School

Alfie gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

Ciara from St.Josephs Wetherby

This book is definatly not my type though I did try to get into it, it's a book that would suite boy more than girls in the 11-14 age section. The beggining was very sad because on the first page a dog! This book was so confusing yet I admire Michelle Paver's desription of the vicious Gods and Warriors. sadly, I could barey read the first chapter -it is one of thoses books that are really easy to put down! I love the names of the characters they're very exotic...... Overall it's OK... Good Luck MICHELLE PAVER!

Ciara gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Emily from Crossley Street Primary School

I loved this book because of the adventure and the fact that the only thing on Halas's mind was getting his sister, Issi, back
and surviving. My favourite character was Spirit because he looked after Halas by warning him about danger and telling him about living under the sea, I also found him funny with his lack of understanding about humans. So I loved this book:).

Emily gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5.

Jamie from Beeston Primary

This is an adventrous wonder of a book.It was a wonderful treusure but, don't get me wrong it was a good book, however not my cup of tea.I think the author tried really hard and in the end it payed off.If Michelle Paver wrote a different type of book I'd sertnly read it.

I rated this book 2 because its not my type of book and was hard to understand really, although the characters really struck me with all their different ways and feelings. My favourite part is where Pirra and Hylas saved spirit.I would say this is more of a boy spirited book than a girl spirited book!!!

Mea gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Holly from Featherbank Primary School

tanesha gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Tanisha from Alwoodley Primary School

Gods and warriors is a racy page-turner, engaging with the darker side of power and the faultlines of alliance and friendship. Hylas and Pirra really tugged at my heart and their struggle to survive is often terrifying. Together with Pirra, the dolphin, and the valuable bronze sword, Hylas fights to discover why hes being hunted and find his sister before the warriors find them.
I would definetly reccomend this book to anyone that enjoys an action-packed adventure story.

Tanisha gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

isobelle from beeston primary

Ryan from Greenhill primary

This book was really good I couldn't stop reading it. It has good vocabulary so it attracts people in. I have to say this is more of a book for boys than girls because of the blood and guts. It is very interesting! I would give it a five out of five if there was less blood because it was get kind of boring.

Ryan gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Jack from st benadicts

gods and warriors, the demons watch , percy jackson , heroes of olympus are the best series of books and books ever!!!!!!!!! Although percy jackson and hereos of olympus are not in the 5 chosen. I LOVE the part where Hylas fights the leader of the dreaded crows, oh and the part where I was reading the book. My favorite caracter was Hylas because he was coragous and never gave up, but the adventure is not over yet.

Jack gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5.

Kristopher from st.Francis of Assisi

Kristopher gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Hollie from Pyecroft primary School

The reason I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars is because some parts of this story is sad where he explains that his dog
( Sparky ) died and some parts of this story was boring because it sounds like it was a non-fiction type of book lol so thats why I give it a 4 out of 5 stars <3

Hollie gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Rojin from Alwoodley Primary School

This book was good but not as good as the front cover, my favourite character was Spirit and i loved the way he came to rescue Hylas every time he sensed something was wrong. Pirra did an interesting thing at the end to save Hylas

Rojin gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

Oscar from Pool CE Primary School (Pool Page-Turners!)

Gods and Warriors is a very strange book because it's got two things going on at once. It has lots of mythical words in it like 'Chieftans'. There are lots of unusual characters like Telamon, Pirra and Hylas. But there are lots and lots and lots of really gruesome parts like the beginning where Hylas is on the edge of a cliff and the crows do something nasty to a boy...There's a bit where Hylas does something disgusting...! It's not too bad but there's enough gruesome bits in there to keep you interested.

Oscar gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Granny Grabbers' Whizz Bang World.

Sam from Pool CE Primary School (Pool Page-Turners!)

Gods and Warriors was a pretty good book but it got confusing because it didn't introduce the characters well and there was so many points of view. So that's why I give it 4 stars.

Sam gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Granny Grabbers' Whizz Bang World.

Lauren from Southroyd Primary School

Gods and Warriors was really good as it used a lot of clues as to what was really happening to Hylas.I also really enjoyed this book as it shows the feelings beetween Hylas and Spirit(the dolphin that he meets).

Lauren gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Niamh from St Benedict's

This book was awful. I wish I didn't have to read it. However that is my opinion not yours so if you like it then don't be offended. Even though I don't like this book my fave character is Spirit.

Callum from Lawns Park Primary School

This fantastic story is about a boy named Hylas,he is on the run from the mysterious black warriors who are hunting him down for an unknown reason. His sister is missing and his dog died so join the adventure and find the truth.

My favourite character is Hylas, he is tough, smart, cunning and full of ideas. All he wants is the truth
The story grips you! You just can't put the book down
The scenes were awesome and most of them were different and the characters and the scene descriptions were fabulous
The book also had diffrent Character view points from mammals to humans I realy liked this.

The only bad thing was the ending it was on a cliff hanger which was anoying but never mind.My favourite part was around the middle.

I recommend this action/adventure to kids aged 10.

Callum gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Harry from Lawns Park Primary

This book is about a boy who is on the run from the black warriors. He is feeling very lonley because his dog is dead and his sister has been captured. I liked this book because it kept you guessing. I didn't know what was going to happen next. The story really gripped me and made me keep reading. I also thought all of the scenes were brilliantly described; my favourite part was the middle of the book. However I wish the ending didn't end on a cliff hanger because it was fustrating. I would recomend this book to older readers and people who like action/adventure strories.

Harry gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Amelia from Beeston Primary School

This book is about a boy named Hylas and a girl named Pirra. I think this book is for people who enjoy reading adventure books and really long books! My favorite character has got to be Hylas because he's a very lively character. I got a bit bored because the story went on for ages! But overall its an ok story.

Amelia gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5.

ellie from beestn primary school

this book is a great book. Its a very adventuras book. To say I use to not like this kind of book is horrible because when i got it I was a bit sad but after a while I got into it and its very exiting now! i love it and cant wait to read the other books of this auther. I recomend it for 9-12 year olds five stars1

ellie gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

Tilly from Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School

It started of with action and I loved the whole plot. Most of the characters at some point are easy to love but not the bad guys they are very hard to even like a tiny smudge. This book is half the time extreamly tense and exiting and the other half really reaches your heart. The book can really get you wanting to read more at any point espesaly at the end of a chapter when it allways leaves you on a cliff hanger.
I would recomend this book to people who love exitment. The age at least 9 probably because you might find it to upsetting at times. T his book is appsalutly amazing I would read it again.

Tilly gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Lucaya from Alwoodley Primary School

Adrian gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

harry from kippax ash tree primary school

God and warriors.I realy liked the book but it just seemed to get boring after while some bits were still good like where the blue fire saved hylas.but it just seemed to stop in one place instead of moving on. so its not my kind of book

harry gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

Ryan from Greenhill Primary

I like the description in this book and it made me keep reading until it was late at night it was really interesting. The book was a really exciting book.I would recommend this book to the age 8-adults and it is good for horror

Ryan gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Libby from Crossley Street Primary School

Gods and Warriors. At the begging of this book i was really into it but as i got further on i just got a bit bored! I still liked bits of it and the words Michelle Paver had used were really really good and the description was very good too but this book wasn't my style. I have never read a book by Michelle paver before si i was new to her style of writing i also thourght it was just a bit too long! I would reccomend this book to people like an action adventure story and i think boys would be a fan.

Libby gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Granny Grabbers' Whizz Bang World.

Mariam from Wigton Moor Primary School

Gods and Warriors was quite a bad book.It diddn't create alot of pictures in my head and it could use much, much more improvement.

Mariam gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

Ben from Thorner

It is a brilliant book and I would recomend it to 9+ if you enjoy reading. My favourite character is Hylas because he can survive in the harshest of places.

Ben gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

affia from stfrancis of assisi

Tom from Wigton Moor

I found the book quite boring. I give it a 3/5 because on the front cover the title is GODS AND WARRIORS, yes there are warriors but they don't mention the gods much which was disappointing. There was also a lot of description and not much action although it was quite impressive how Hylas survived because he started with nothing. I would recommend this book to people who like description rather than a fast paced action story.

Tom gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

CONDOLEEZZA from ST.PAUL'S CATHOLIC PRIMARY LEEDS ALWOODLEY

This is only my opinion for the book, but, I found it a little boring. The description was high, but entertainment low, so I give it a low mark. This doesn't mean, however, that other people wouldn't like it; infact, I'm sure they would enjoy it, especially boys.

CONDOLEEZZA gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Matthew from POOL CE PRIMARY (POOL PAGE TURNERS!)

This book has really good writing, great description but does not introduce the characters very well.My favourite character is Hylas and his bravery.A great adventure book for someone around 9 or 10+.So i give this book 4/5.

Sachin from Adel St. John The Bapstist Primary School

This book is a good book but quite slow moving. It haas great characters in and a intresting storyline. Sometimes the book was that good it made me turn the pages loads.I particularly liked the bit where Hylas and Pirra met up at the same camp and made memories and adventures. The book is very sad and heart warming.Michelle Paver is a Wonderful writer with a great mind. GREAT!

Sachin gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Poppy's Hero.

Lauren from Thorner C of E Primary

I really enjoyed Gods and warriors - especially the ending where it is left on a cliff hanger. I couldn't put the book down, my favourite characters were Pirra who at first seemed quite snooty but turned out to be very caring and Spirit who was trying to do everything to hlpp Hylas and Pirra. This is not the first Michelle Paver book I've read but it's certainly the best. I hope a sequal comes out soon!

Lauren gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Granny Grabbers' Whizz Bang World.

Kathryn from Pool CE Primary School (Pool Page-Turners!)

Gods and Warriors is a brilliant book. Once I started reading it, I just couldn't put the book down. It is written from four perspectives: Spirit, Telamon, Hylas and Pirra. At one point of the book, I thought it rushed through quite quickly. I also think that only people above nine years old should read it, because it is a bit gory! Never-the-less, I still enjoyed reading it and will recommend it to all my friends.

Kathryn gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

Matthew from Pool CE Primary School (Pool Page-Turners!)

Isabelle gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5.

Julia from St Pauls Primary School

I think the book had a boring start, but got a bit better. I didn't 100% understand it, but it was quite good once you got more to the middle of the book. I still think Hitlers Angel is the best book!

Julia gave Gods and Warriors 2 out of 5.

George from Adel St John the Baptist Primary

This book is about some mysterious black warriors who are chasing Hylas, the only remaining outsider, across the mountains. Seeking help Hylas travels to the land of the finned people in hope of saving his sister Issi.I particularly like it when Hylas is surounded by dolphins and is cast in the blue fire, the shadow of the goddess.

George gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Fright Forest.

Aneesh from Wigton Moor Primary School

Very good the book could be longer. At least 100 pages more. Definitely could have used more action than just TWO scenes of action. They were also just in the beginning and the end. definitely could have used GODS. You should rename the book to CROWS AND OUTSIDERS. you should not have used annoying words for the countries eg.keftia-crete.
The whole book was practically based on running away from the evil men [crows].
Please make the next book with loads of action.
Just into my top 10 books. If you use my advice the next book will be much better!!!

Aneesh gave Gods and Warriors 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Hitler's Angel.

Joely from Crossley Street primary School

Gods and Warriors was a really good book. I wouldn't say it was amazing but it was a joyful and heart-warming book to read. Michelle Paver is a new author to me but I could get used to more of her books. It was great to read but I wouldn't read it again if I had the chance to. I enjoyed the main bit of the story but it was a slow start but I really got going after and I enjoyed it more. The front cover looks great and i thourght it would be a really good book. It is thick and just enough pages for me to read.

Joely gave Gods and Warriors 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Demon's Watch.

Grace from Crossley street primary school

Emily from Greenhill Primary

5 Out of 5 because it's very intresting and fastanating. I absolutly love it, I think Michelle Paver might have a chance of winning.Gods and Warriors has lot's of thoughts and feelings. Moreover, I think the author's personality is very imaginary and her writing is making me keeping on reading.I also think that Gods and Warriors is a good name for a name because it's creative.

Emily gave Gods and Warriors 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Granny Grabbers' Whizz Bang World.

Adam from Southroyd Primary School

I really liked the book because it had a complex but adventurous plot, and I particularly liked the part where the dolphin (called spirit)found Hylas and let him hang on to his fin until he reached the island.
